State in the Real presents a Concert Benefiting THON is less than a week away!
We got a chance to sit down with LullaNAs, one of five acts set to play concert, about what THON means to them; here’s what they had to say.
What is your favorite part of THON?
Our favorite part of THON is the impact this philanthropic movement has on everyone. It’s amazing how much it has grown over the years and how many people it has touched. It has not only affected the lives of the kids, but also their families, and Penn State students. We also love the connection the students have with the children’s families, in a way making Penn State a part of them too.
Jon- “I believe it means opportunity. I personally had the chance to work at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and it is amazing what can be accomplished when such a large amount of funding is handed over to an extremely capable organization.”
What is it like to be raising money For The Kids?
It feels great being able to do something that we love, knowing that it will be benefiting such an amazing cause.
If you were selected to be a dancer at THON, what three pieces of clothing you would wear to make you stand out?
Atisha- A fanny pack, because who doesn’t love fanny packs!
Nishita- Rhinestone glasses that can sparkle all through my 46 hours of dancing… oh and a tutu!
Jon- A fanny pack and rhinestone glasses!
If you could play one cover on the THON stage what would it be and why?
“I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz because it is a meaningful song almost everyone can relate too!
