Alton Brown’s blend of wit with wisdom, history with pop culture and science with common cooking sense has set him apart from the crowd and made him one of the more prominent names in cooking in recent years. Brown has been virtually everywhere in the cooking scene, and has an impressive resume to show for it.
Along with being a featured Food Network star and chef, Alton Brown is also the host, head writer and executive producer of the hit show Good Eats. Even more impressive is that while hosting the Peabody Award winning show Good Eats, he is also the host of the fan favorite show Iron Chef America. In addition, Brown has hosted Feasting on Waves and has been featured on The Next Food Network Star, The Best Thing I ever Ate, Ace of Cakes, The Early Show and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Alton Brown has written several award winning books as well. These books include the James Beard Foundation Award winning I’m Just Here for the Food, Alton Brown’s Gear for Your Kitchen, I’m Just Here for More Food, and Feasting on Asphalt. The book I’m Just Here for the Food was also one of the best-selling cookbooks of 2002 and was chosen by Amazon.com as one of the top 50 books of 2002.
