Rapper and producer J.Cole’s debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, which was released on September 27, 2011, will take the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart thanks to sales of 217,324 copies in it’s first week. In 2009, J. Cole was the first artist signed to music icon Jay-Z’s label, Roc Nation. After releasing a bunch of sick mixtapes from 2007-2010, J. Cole has finally caught his big break. If I had to guess, I’d say Cole has a very bright future in the music business. I wouldn’t put him in the top tier of rap artists yet, but it’s only a matter of time.
