Singer/songwriter Katy Glorioso will be the Student Programming Association’s Noontime performer on Friday, September 20th, 2013 at 12 pm. She will be performing in the HUB, in the noontime lounge, which is above Starbucks on the main floor. This will be a free, ticketless event for all Penn State students.
23 year old Katy Glorioso is a York, Pennsylvania native. In 2012, she recorded her first full length album, Fine and Foolish, after receiving success from an EP, Shark and A Bird. That EP caught the eye of Nashville recording artist/producer Jeremy Casella; Glorioso soon after flew to Nashville to record her album. Fine and Foolish cleverly mixes elements of pop, folk, jazz, and blues, as Katy’s soothing voice produces songs such as “Am I Alright”, “Lights”, and the atmospheric sounding “Ghost”.
Since traveling back to her hometown, Glorioso has been working with her manager and following up with promotion of her first album, which was released May 19th, 2012. Katy has been building a name for herself, as she has performed at just about all the prominent clubs and venues in Central PA, and impressing fans and critics alike. As she becomes a well-known singer, she’s been featured in Wood Stove House, FlipSide Magazine, and Fly magazine, and showcased at WXPN’s World Café Live in Philadelphia. Katy Glorioso is an up and coming singer/songwriter that is emerging in the music industry. Come check out Katy this Friday at noon, at the HUB.
