Movin' On Battle Showcase: Hybrid Sessions

Penn State’s Movin On’ ‘Battle Of The Bands’ is a great opportunity for Penn State musicians and their bands to get some notoriety opening for the biggest free concert in the world. One of the bands looking to take advantage is the alternative band Hybrid Sessions, from Wilkes-Barre, PA. The group composed of Dylan Nowak singing and playing guitar, Jeremy Melton on bass and vocals, Greg Stankiewicz on guitar and tenor saxophone, Derek Nowak on alto sax, Chase Nowak on drums and Michael Answini playing trumpet has been together since 2005. They have formed their own unique sound from alternative rock with their use of trumpet and saxophone to perfectly counteract and work with the classic rock instruments. They have performed live on radio shows and have gotten their sound down to a tee. As they put it on their Facebook page the band is, “Hoping to go far in the musical world and find out what makes great musicians.” Hybrid Sessions is set to perform later in the evening towards the end of the battle of the bands.  Be sure to come out and check out the battle it starts at 9 p.m. and is scheduled to 1 a.m. in the Alumni Hall.
