Nick Offerman, better known as Ron Swanson, to perform at Penn State

Nick Offerman, also known as the Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreations, will be at Penn State on Friday, September 6 at 10 pm in Eisenhower Auditorium. Free student tickets will be available beginning August 29th at the HUB Ticket Desk and all CPA Ticketing Locations (including Eisenhower Auditorium). A valid PSU University Park Student ID is necessary to pick up a ticket. This event is sponsored by SPA LateNight.

Nick Offerman is an American actor and writer. He has appeared in various films such as: November, Sin City, The Men Who Stare at Goats and the Kings of Summer. He has also played various roles on television shows: Randy McGee on George Lopez, Tom Mason on Deadwood and also costarred in the Comedy Central series American Body Shop. Offerman is most notably known for his role as Ron Swanson in NBC’s sitcom Parks and Recreation.

On Parks and Recreation, Nick Offerman works alongside the likes of Rashida Jones, Rob Lowe and Amy Poehler. He plays as the director of the parks and recreation department and is the immediate boss of the protagonist Leslie Knope, who is played by Amy Poehler. In 2011, His work on Parks and Rec had earned him the Television Critics Association Award for Achievement. He was also nominated for a Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy that very same year.
