Penn State Korean Student Association Presents Dumbfoundead

Thursday, December 5th, come see Deadfoundead perform in Alumni Hall at 9pm. This is a FREE event, courtesy of Penn State’s Korean Student Association, UPAC, and The College of Communications. Check out the Facebook event page here.

dumbfoundead (Parker, DFD, Dumb) has taken the underground hip hop scene by storm. Representing Koreatown, Los Angeles, DFD first made his name by battling MCs on the Grind Time Now battle circuit. Years later, he has performed his music around the world and gained fans everywhere. His music videos have collected millions of views on YouTube.

DFD has collaborated with everyone from well-known Korean hip hop artists (e.g. Epik High, Jay Park, Drunken Tiger) to Asian American musicians (Chops, Paul Choi, Decipher, Lyricks, Traphik, D-Pryde) to respected underground artists (Wax, Breezy Lovejoy, Duke Westlake).

In February 2013, Dumbfoundead released his latest album, Old Boy Jon. Listen to it here: http://music.dumbfoundead.com/album/old-boy-jon

DJ Zo is a renowned DJ representing Virginia and Los Angeles. He has toured around the world and opened for such legends as Common and DJ Premier. On tour, Zo also serves as Dumbfoundead’s DJ. Their chemistry shows in their great music and live performances.

Lyricks is a rapper hailing from Northern Virgina whose music has gained the attention of hip hop heads around the world. He provides poetic lyrics over underground instrumentals, giving his music a very raw hip hop sound. He has performed around the world, including countries throughout Europe and Africa. During the past few years, Lyricks has been on tour with Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, and other members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
