The Student Programming Association Announces Performances from Girl Code and Guy Code Comedians

Three Comics from the Hit MTV Shows will Appear at Alumni Hall

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (October 30, 2014) – The Student Programming Association

LateNight committee is excited to announce that Kevin Barnett, Nicole Byer and Alice

Wetterlund, three comics from the successful MTV shows Girl Code and Guy Code, will

perform in Alumni Hall at the HUB-Robeson Center on Saturday Nov. 15 at 10 p.m.. The event

is free and ticketless as guests only need their student IDs for entrance.

Guy Code, the most-watched original series in MTV2 history, is a popular comedy television

series that features athletes, comedians, celebrities and other notable figures commenting on a

code of conduct that exists between men. Kevin Barnett is a series regular and has appeared in

films and videos for College Humor, Funny as Hell and Adam Devine’s House Party.

Following the 2011 debut of Guy Code, MTV premiered a spinoff series entitled Girl Code in

April 2013. Girl Code includes many notable female comics, actresses and musicians discussing

sisterhood and the code of conduct that exists between women. Nicole Byer, an MTV favorite, is

a comedian who has worked on shows such as 30 Rock and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Alice

Wetterlund, another Girl Code regular, has featured in the popular shows New Girl and Betas.

SPA’s LateNight committee is thrilled to bring another diverse and entertaining act to Penn

State. To learn more about the Girl Code, Guy Code event, as well as other upcoming SPA
