Her new song “22” leaked a few days ago, and this track will definitely hold T-Swift’s fans over until Red’s highly anticipated release. “22” shows us a new side to Taylor, as she steps away from her country roots and turns instead to poppy party music. “22” is fun, upbeat, and whether you are a fan or not, this song will get your feet tapping to the beat. “We’re happy free confused and lonely at the same, it’s miserable and magical oh yeah, tonight’s the night we forget about deadlines…” It is amazing how Taylor writes with such emotion, allowing all of her fans to feel how she felt, or experience what she has experienced through her music. Her music is so relatable, and this song in particular easily relates to us as college students. We’re all familiar with having deadlines, and we’re dealing with so many mixed emotions at this vital point in our lives. “22” is further proof that Red is going to be incredible. The release of singles such as “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, “Red”, “I Knew You Were Trouble”, and “State of Grace” foreshadows yet another magnificent album from the lovely Taylor Swift.
