State in the Real presents a Concert Benefiting THON is less than a week away!
We got a chance to sit down with Fairweather Pilots, one of five acts set to play at the concert, about what THON means to them. Here’s what they had to say.
What is your favorite part of THON?
Our favorite part of THON is definitely the energy in the BJC. Just by looking around for a couple of seconds, you can see students, dancers, 4 Diamonds families, and the community sporting a rainbow of colors with smiles on their faces. Every person in the BJC is there motivating and inspiring each other and the world to end the battle against cancer. It’s amazing to see that type of unity for such a great cause.
Describe what THON means to you in one sentence.
THON is inspiring, limitless, and life-changing.
What is it like to be raising money For The Kids?
We believe raising money for the 4 Diamonds children is a selfless act that is an incredibly rewarding. In that moment, whether we are out on the streets canning or on a stage raising money, the feeling of helping kids and families have a better life is amazing.
If you were selected to be a dancer at THON, what three pieces of clothing you would wear to make you stand out?
We would wear matching outfits that consisted of wings, goggles, and pilot hats. After all, we are the Fairweather Pilots!
If you could play one cover on the THON stage what would it be and why?
Twist and Shout…who doesn’t dance and clap to that song??
Share your favorite THON memory (if you have one).
Overall, just interacting and playing games with the kids on the event floor. They are genuinely the sweetest people we have and probably will ever meet.
