State In The Real – Penn State Music Scene

Movin' On 2014 Survey #2 Is Live Now!

The second survey for Movin’ On 2014 is now live. For the first survey, students could type in artists that they’d want to see at Movin’ On next year. Now, the choices have been narrowed down and students must select 6 bands from a list that they would like to see next year. Make sure you fill out the survey and let them know who you want to see at the next Movin’ On on May 2nd! Check out the official press release below!

Movin’ On Releases 2nd Survey

The Movin’ On organization is releasing a second online survey to gain student input
for the Movin’ On 2014 spring music festival. For this online survey, participants may
choose up to six acts from the list of over thirty acts. It is important to note that the list of
names included in this survey is not necessarily indicative of who may be performing at
Movin’ On 2014. However, Movin’ On takes student feedback seriously and would like as
much direct student input as possible during the paid act selection process. Movin’ On
books acts primarily on interest from University Park students, artist cost, and artist
availability. The artist list provided in this survey has been chosen to provide perspective
of artist possibilities for Penn State’s spring music festival. This format is in contrast with
the first survey which prompted for unguided input from the students via a fill-in-the-blank
format. To take the survey, either go to www.movinon.org or access the survey directly
at https://pennstate.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6gIYKVz3QOTvPM1.

Movin’ On is Penn State’s annual spring music festival and typically takes place on
the last Friday of classes during the spring semester. Movin’ On is the largest, student-run
music festival in the country and is funded by the University Park Allocation Committee
with cosponsorship and collaboration with UPUA, GSA, ARHS, SPA and the Lion FM. The
outdoor festival is ticketless and free of charge. Movin’ On is a substance-free event. For
