THON Dancer Interview: Tara Antonucci

For our second interview, we got to talk to Tara Antonucci, a junior nursing major (currently at Hershey) dancing for SNAP, the Student Nurses’ Association of Pennsylvania!

How is THON so far?
It’s great! I’m having lots of fun. There’s a lot to do. I like being with the families and the kids.

How are you feeling so far?
I feel fine! I’ve stayed up later than this. I mean, I don’t know what time it is, but I feel fine.

How did you feel when you found out you were dancing?
I was really, really excited. I worked hard for it: I raised a lot of money, and got a lot of points within my org. (SNAP)

What does the logo or motto mean to you?
I’ll go with the logo- the tree section of the logo represents growing. Since I’m a nurse, I see kids at [Hershey Medical Center] growing and getting better. I see it myself being at Hershey.

Do you have a favorite song so far, or a song that’s gotten you really pumped up?
I don’t. I haven’t really been paying attention to the song choice so far. As long as it has a good beat. *I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston comes on* OH! This is a good one!

If you could have one performer play at THON, who would it be and why?
Oh my God, Beyonce! Beyonce is the best person alive. That’s why- she’s fabulous.

What’s your favorite part of the line dance?
I like the Rick Ross part because it’s funny.

What is the role of music in THON, in your opinion?
It’s the entire entertainment! It’d be weird with no music- it keeps things going.
